Many sinew suppliers have sent me sinew with globs of fat and dried meat on them. Such greasy sinews only add another hour of labor to an already long job. Clean sinews from you made things easier. As soon as I got them I cut and draw-knifed them to rough shape and put them away to dry. They tillered beautifully with nary a knot or blemish. Cast is great and string follow not a problem. I am not a carpenter or professional woodcutter, but I do not see how you could ask for a better piece of hickory to start with. The quality of the hickory stave you sent me was a big help in the construction of this bow. Once I removed the bark, the back of the bow was practically done except for a small amount of scraping and a little sandpaper.
